Come Enjoy Australia’s Beautiful Northern Beaches!

Australia’s New South Wales’s Northern Beaches area is one of the island nation’s most beautiful regions, with a plethora of fun things to do and see! From beach combing, to festival going, to whale watching, there is always something going on, and the fresh salt air always smells so good!

Not surprisingly, the area attracts a lot of people, with thousands of visitors from across the globe as well as native Australians frequenting its spectacular shores. Many people love it so much they decide to never leave, and Northern Beaches real estate always has great living opportunities for those who want to become full-time residents!

Let’s now take a look at just a few of the many, many delightful attractions the Northern Beaches has to offer!

  • Warriewood Beach – This highly scenic stretch of the coast spans 500 metres from Turrimetta Head to the northern cliff face’s base. The headlands on either side of the beach protect it from the wind so the surf is small and comfortable for casual swimmers. It’s a lovely place, with a walking trail from the top headlands that provides beautiful views of the picturesque beach, which is just the kind of place one dreams of when craving a seaside holiday experience. When you need a break from all the natural splendour just visit the kiosk at the beach’s south end for a drink and a snack!
  • Northern Beaches Music Festival – This fun, family-friendly annual event is held in May at the Berry Reserve and the Tramshed Community Arts Centre. The festival lasts for three days and features plenty of live music by local artists as well as a market chock full of unique arts and crafts and delicious food! Everyone has a great time, and Australia’s natural friendliness and love for celebration is on full display for all to join in!
  • Whale Watching – Forty-three different species of whale migrate along the New South Wales coastline from May until the end of November.  The most common of these are the charming humpback whales that always seem ready to put on a big leaping and splashing show for lucky onlookers. One can view the spectacle from the shore, but the best way to experience this marvel of nature is to sign up for a seagoing whale-watching tour!
  • Snorkelling – This wonderful watersport is one of Australia’s most popular pastimes, especially in the Northern Beaches’s crystal clear waters. There are an amazing number of marine species you can view up close and personal, such as octopus, seahorses, blue swimmer crabs, Port Jackson sharks,  cuttlefish, sea dragons, and many more! The Manly Beach to Palm Beach coastline features gentle swells that make snorkelling safe and easy. Then, once you have mastered the art of snorkelling you can consider taking a scuba course so you can go deeper and stay longer in the incredible underwater world!
