There's Wild Then There's You cover

He’s someone she can’t trust…

She’s someone he thinks he knows…

Violet Wilson is a wallflower. Shy, serious, and accident-prone, she’s got a bad habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The night she’s forced to pose with her friend might just be the worst time of all—that’s when she meets Jet Blevins. She knows better than to get involved with someone like him, but he touches her in ways she never expected, never wanted before.

On the outside, Jet is a typical rocker, an arrogant lead guitarist who unapologetically lives a wild lifestyle. But on the inside, he’s battling demons and using the stage to escape the troubles of his past and the addictions of his present. Until the night he sees Violet standing at the back of the room. She brings his life into focus. She knows his secrets. She’s the girl he can’t forget, and the one thing he craves more than his addiction.

Does that not sound fabulous?  Well, trust me, it IS.  I had the privilege of reading it while she was writing it.  And it rocks.  (Like everything else Michelle writes.  Lol).

12 Nov

Eeeeppppp!  *spins in a circle*

M. Leighton’s new book, All the Pretty Lies, is out today!  And OMG, let me tell you… I freaking love it.  I was lucky enough to read this while M was writing it… and it’s amazing.  I’m in love with Hemi.  In love with him.  I hope you will be toooooo!

Anyway, check this out:

ATPL with tagline

All the Pretty Lies

“Live, no regrets”

Sloane Locke has led a sheltered life.  However, with a history like hers, she can understand why her brothers and her father want so much to protect her.  She has gone along with it for twenty long years, but those days are over.  For the girl who never makes promises, Sloane has made a pact with herself that things will change on her twenty-first birthday.  So when the clock strikes midnight, Sloane strikes out to spread her wings and break a few rules.

In addition to inking skin, Hemi Spencer possesses many talents. Controlling himself has never been one of them.  It’s never had to be.  He’s lived a life of indulgence for as long as he can remember.  Right up until tragedy struck.  Now, he’s nothing but controlled. He’s a man on a mission, one who will let nothing and no one stand in his way.

Nothing in their lives could’ve prepared Sloane and Hemi for what they’d find in each other—distraction and obsession, love and possession.  But the one thing they can’t find is a future.  Neither one has been totally honest.  And they’ll soon learn that the devil is in the details.  In the details and in the lies.

How far will two people go to live in the now when the now is all they’ve got?

And an excerpt!!

While we wait for someone to come to the front, I walk along the borders of the room, admiring the sketches on display.  As someone with the heart of an artist, I can even better appreciate the skillful hand and eye behind the charcoal renderings.

A deep voice interrupts my study.  “Can I help you?”

I turn toward it, ready to explain what it is that I want, but the words die on my tongue.  Of all the works of art on the walls, none compares to the one I’m staring at now.

I see his features in separate bursts, like strobes of light striking the backs of my eyes.  Angular, masculine features seem to be carved in stone—slashing brows; luminous eyes; high cheekbones; chiseled mouth.  And it’s that mouth that I’m looking at when his lips curl up at the corners.  I’m staring. I know it and he knows it.  “See anything you like?”

Check it out:

WILD CHILD smaller (2)

Jenna Theopolis has always known what she wanted.  Getting out of her small hometown of Greenfield was number one on her list of priorities.  Until she met Rusty Catron.

Rusty’s fun-loving personality was the perfect match for Jenna’s inner wild child.  But what started off as a summer fling quickly turns into something more.  At least it does for Jenna.

Rusty has lived with the ghost of his father’s abandonment since he was a child, but now he’s beginning to feel the crippling effects of his scars.  He wants to trust in Jenna, but deep down he doesn’t believe someone so wild and free can ever be tamed.

But tragedy strikes, pushing Jenna out of Greenfield and leaving Rusty with a choice to make—face his inner demons or lose the love of his life.  Forever.

Anddddd, because she’s awesome, Michelle gave me a little teaser to share:

I hear him growl and I smile as I straighten in front of him.  “Ready?”

“To skinny dip with the devil? Sure,” he replies, a slow grin coming to his face.

With speed a striking snake would envy, Rusty bends and throws me over his shoulder.  I squeal in surprised delight as he takes off running toward the water and jumps off the bank, plunging us both into the cool, black pond.

I loved this book.  You should definitely check it out…. you can find it on Amazon HERE and Barnes and Noble HERE.

Would You Rather: With Jessica Sorensen

21 Aug

So, we’re doing something fun today.  :)

A little group of Forever authors and I got together and kicked around some Would You Rather questions.  Hehe.  We thought it was fun.  Anyway, I have Jessica Sorensen on my blog today to answer a few.  You probably know Jessica for books like:

Breaking NovaThe Coincidence of Callie and KaydenSecret of Ella and Micha

You know, the New York Times Bestselling kind of books.  Lol.  Anyway.  Jessica is pretty awesome. I met her when I was in New York in May and was super impressed with her.

Jessica Sorensen and me

Anyway, like the awesome sport that she is, she answered my goofy Would You Rather questions.  :)   Check them out!

CC:  I know you’re happily married.  I’ve met your awesome husband. But let’s pretend for a moment that you aren’t.  Would you rather…. Be in an awful relationship with great sex or a great relationship with awful sex?

JS:  Hmm… probably a great relationship with awful sex. He could always learn to be better at sex, lol.

CC:  Would you rather…. Be stuck in an endless hockey game for the rest of your life where you could read during time-outs, or live in a world where books don’t exist?

JS:  Definitely stuck in an endless hockey game but read during time-outs! I’d go crazy if I couldn’t read.

CC:  Would you rather… win the lottery or live twice as long?

JS:  Probably win the lottery.

CC:  Would you rather… be the smartest, yet ugliest person in the room… or the hottest and dumbest?

JS:  Definitely the smartest, yet the ugliest.

CC:  Would you rather be the richest person in the world….or immortal?

JS:   This one’s hard, but I think I’m going to go with Immortal.

CC:  Would you rather…. Listen to Justin Bieber for a week straight … or shave your head?

JS:  Shave my head! My hair would grow back but the insanity of listening to the song might end up being permanent, lol.

CC:  Would you rather… be stuck on a deserted island with Kayden or Micha?

JS:  I’m going to have to go with Micha. As much as I love Kayden, Micha has always been my favorite :)

CC:  Would you rather…. Be Hermione from Harry Potter or Bella from Twilight?

JS:  Definitely Hermione! She is seriously badass!

CC:  Would you rather… talk like Yoda or breathe like Darth Vader?

JS:  Talk like Yoda. I’m not going to lie, I actually do this for fun sometimes ;)

CC:  If you had to, would you rather kill off Ella or Callie from your books?

JS:  Ah! Honestly I’m not sure I could pick one, but for the sake of getting stoned at my next signing, I’m going to say Ella because I know Callie is the favorite of the two.

Fun, right?  And before we start getting angry emails… just know that the last question was purely hypothetical– for fun.   Her characters are completely safe.  For now.  Lol.

Michelle Nicole’s Soul Survivor

22 Jul

Hey guys,

I’ll be doing tons of posts over the next few weeks about my upcoming book, IF YOU LEAVE.   So I thought I’d take a break from talking about myself (haha) to talk about someone awesome.

Over the past year, I’ve come to know a super-sweet author, Michelle Nicole.  She’s pretty awesome and I can’t wait for you to meet her.  She’s here today to share a little bit about her debut novel, Soul Survivor.

Soul Survivor Full Jacket

Can you give me your two to three sentence elevator pitch for Soul Survivor?

Soul Survivor is about Hailee, a young country girl, who quickly learns she’s the last of her kind, angels really do exist AND she’s smack dab in the middle of a curse, HER curse–to choose Light or Darkness. Nothing is black and white and no matter which way she turns someone will die and that’s just not an option. She’s pushed to her limits and forced to sacrifice it all for the greater good.
Can you describe yourself in five words?
Tall, crazy, friendly, dorky, ambitious
That’s funny, because that’s almost exactly how I would describe myself.  :)  You’re a tax accountant by day and a writer by night.  What made you decide to write Soul Survivor?
That’s a great question. Honestly, it all started back in late 2010/early 2011–I’d just raced through a bunch of indie reads on my PC (because I didn’t have a kindle yet.) ;) I’d been writing a few stories just for my own personal entertainment when it dawned on me, I think I’d like to write a book and PUBLISH it. I wanted to have an opportunity to touch people the way authors have touched me with their stories–find a way to make a difference, leave a good mark on this world. Then the premise for SS came to me–with so much crappiness in the world what would it be like to be able to change the world on a big scale (cause we all have the opportunity to do so on a small scale) and so it started. I love angel books and so I went with that angle and next thing I knew I had sexy angels, a determined young woman, and all sorts of mayhem racing through my mind. It hasn’t stopped since…and believe me sometimes its hard to concentrate on tax returns when your mind is running into far off adventurous places. ;)
Is there a character in your book that you feel closest to?  Why?
Hailee most definitely. I feel incredibly close to her on so many levels. She has a lot of my heart and soul and like I just mentioned, the entire inspiration for this book was based on how much I’d like to change the world. She makes me cry a lot, especially recently with working on book two of the series, Soul Searcher. Writing her story has taught me so much about myself.
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
I’m a pantser which is hilarious if you know how completely OCD I am in everything else I do. I do organize the story after the fact and once enough scenes are written I tend to know where the big picture is going. That being said in Soul Survivor I was pretty surprised who Hailee ends up with. She and her male hottie of choice both threw me for a loop.
Can you tell me a little about what you’re working on now?
I’ve got so many WIPs started (9 to be exact-3 of which will be series) I could publish a book a month if I had time to write them (that pesky work business always gets in the way.) ;) That being said, I have been focusing most of my energy on book two of the Hybrid Chronicles, Soul Searcher along with a New Adult Contemporary Romance tentatively titled Blurred Lines. BL is a very risky book for me. I’m about to seriously step out of my comfort zone and tackle controversial subject. I was really afraid to write this story but after a little inspiration and a gentle nudge from a book blogger (Delphina) that I met at UTOPYA I knew I had to pull up my big girl panties and trudge on. So, I am. And so far, I’m loving it.
Who is your favorite book boyfriend?
Gah! Hardest question ever! How about a top 5? I LOVE M. Leighton’s Cash–he gets me hot and bothered every time and then there’s Pax–thank you so much for introducing me to him, Courtney–I love his roughness and nothing gets me like a bad ass with a heart of gold and he has one. *sigh*  Then, there’s Nathan from Tiffany King’s No Attachments–bike ride anyone? ;) I heart Paulina Ulrich’s Damon–another one of those smooth talking tough guys with big heart and finally Daniel the Demon from Michelle Muto’s Don’t Fear the Reaper…I love me a do-gooding smexy demon. Oh, and how could I forget Jennifer Armentrout’s Daemon from the Lux series. He makes me drool. So yeah, I’ve got a thing for bad boys and clearly the accountant CAN’T count…that’s six not five. ;)
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I love food so I really had to think this question through. I’d say my Mom’s homemade baked mac and cheese. It’s freaking awesome and yeah, I’d go for that over anything chocolate and I LOVE chocolate. ;)

Ok, here’s some rapid fire questions.  :)

Basketball or Hockey? Hockey

Red or blue? Red
Ice cream or cake? Ice cream cake!

Bath or shower? Bath…bubbles anyone?

Lake or ocean? Ocean…but I’ll only put my feet in.

Day or night? Day.

Cat or dog? Both

Coffee or tea?  Sweet tea beats coffee any day.

Michelle, thank you so much for being here today.  You’re so sweet– I wish you the best of luck with everything that you do.  I’ll be keeping an eye on you.  I can’t wait to see you climb the charts.
Courtney, thank you so very much for having me. Being on your blog is incredibly surreal. Is this real life? Really? Are you sure? You know I’ve admired you forever! You were the third indie author I ever read…yes I remember weird things like that. I can even remember where I was when I read Every Last Kiss and how impressed I was with your “voice” and how you could weave such an intricate tale so easily. Thank you for making me feel like a rockstar! I heart you big time!
Okay, guys… you can find Soul Survivor on Amazon    and    Barnes and Noble.

M. Leighton’s Until I Break

15 May

So…. my friend M. Leighton just released a fabulous new book.  It’s dark.  It’s edgy. It’s sexy.  If you like those things, then you should definitely check out Until I Break.  Because it’s awesome.  And so is M. Leighton.

Check it out:

“I’m intrigued. Tempted beyond what I’ve ever been before. To know her, to open her up. To break her.”

In love, sometimes what you fear most is exactly what you need.

Laura Drake is an author. She writes bestselling paranormal romances that continue to top the charts. She is sharp. She is confident. She is in control.

And she doesn’t exist.

Samantha Jansen is the woman behind the wig, the woman most of the world doesn’t know exists. She is shy. She is insecure. She is nothing like her main character or her alter ego. She is scarred—deeply scarred—by a past she can’t let go of and a present she can’t make peace with.

Samantha’s dreams are consumed by one man, the broken hero from her books. Mason Strait is both her wildest fantasy and her most terrifying nightmare.

When Samantha meets Alec Brand, a corporate consultant, it is as though Mason has come to life. Alec is handsome to a fault, as elegant as he is arrogant, and more intense than any man has a right to be.

Samantha is soon sucked into a world that mirrors the fiction she writes. Just like her main character, Daire Kirby, Samantha finds herself unable to resist the forbidden lure of Alec. And just like Daire, she also finds that she is faced with taking a chance on a man who could either set her free or destroy her.

The scale tilts toward destruction when Samantha finds out that Alec is as much a work of fiction as Mason. And he has scars of his own, scars that could ruin them both.

Sounds good, right?   I know it is— I’ve read it.  Woot!   If you’d like to check it out, you can find it on Amazon HERE and B&N HERE.

Happy reading!

Kristen Proby’s Rock With Me

3 May

You guys, if you follow my blog, you know my faves.

And so you know that Kristen Proby (Author of the With Me in Seattle series) is one of my favest faves. ß No, that’s not a real term, but it seemed appropriate anyway.  I’m super excited to have her on my blog today!!

Kristen, you know I love all of your characters.  You have a special way of bringing your characters to life so that they practically leap off the page and make out with me.  Well, that’s what it feels like anyway.  (Your steamy scenes are HAWT!)  Tell me… what are your favorite things about Leo and Sam?

Kristen: First of all, you’re my favest fave too. J I love it that you make out with my characters. My favorite things about Leo and Sam… well, I love how Leo just seems to “get” Sam. He’s patient, biding his time for her, and once they’re in, they’re IN.

As I mentioned, you write the steamiest of steam.  I think Molly McAdams called you the Queen of Sex, right?  So, tell me… where do you get your inspiration for the delicious sex scenes that you write?

Kristen:  HAHA! Yes, Molly calls me the Queen of Sex, which makes me laugh. I enjoy writing love scenes because for my characters, the sex is as much a part of their story as anything else. I think it shows intimacy. It’s when any of us are at our most vulnerable. The inspiration for the scenes? I’m not sure… I just go with what the characters want to do. J

Who is your favorite book-boyfriend of all time?  (It can be from your book or someone else’s).

Kristen: This is easy for me. Roarke from JD Robb’s In Death series.

If you were stuck on a wounded cruise ship out in the middle of the Caribbean, what three things will you have in your purse to make your life better?   Knowing you as I do, my mind just went into the gutter.  You’ll have to forgive me for that….

Kristen: You DO know me! LMAO! Um… lip balm, gum and sunglasses. What? Don’t judge me.

What is one thing that most people don’t know about you?

Kristen: My favorite movie of all time is The Goonies.

I love that one too!! Okay—you and I are both attending the Naughty Mafia Rocks Vegas event in August (yayyyy!).  We wake up in a jail cell there one morning.  Tell me… how did we get there?

Kristen: LOL! Oh, the possibilities are endless, my friend. I think it involved a lot of liquor and perhaps some of the Thunder Down Under guys.

Oh my.  You’re probably right.  Kristen, thank you so much for being here with me today.  I loved your book, Rock with Me, just like I love ALL of your books.  You’re talented and amazing- and I’m so happy to call you my friend.  <3

Kristen: Thank you for having me! You are wonderful and I so appreciate you. I’m proud to be your friend, my sweet! xo

If you haven’t checked out any of Kristen’s books, now is a good time because her latest With Me in Seattle book, Rock with Me, just came out.

Rock With Me - Kristen Proby FINAL(1)

Front Man Leo Nash from the world-famous rock band, Nash, is the last person on earth Samantha Williams would trust. She’s already learned about loving a celebrity the hard way and isn’t signing up for another lesson.

Every time Sam gives Leo attitude, he wants to knock that chip off her fragile little shoulder. What the hell did he ever do to her, anyway? He’s not used to women treating him like he’s poisonous, and he isn’t about to let her run away every time he gets close. He’s had enough of people running away to last him a lifetime…when this one runs, he gives chase. But, catching Sam isn’t as hard as he thought.

The sexual attraction between them is so thick, Sam can practically hold it in her hand. There’s no way she can deny herself the promise of pleasure being with Leo would provide. But, pleasure always comes with pain and when secrets are revealed and trust is challenged, who will run and who will chase?

Alessandra Thomas- Picture Perfect

26 Mar

Hey guys,

I’m sorry that I’ve been MIA lately. I’ve been buried in my writing cave.  But I have a treat for you today.  Alessandra Thomas has a new book out, Picture Perfect.  And it looks super good. Check it out:

Picture Perfect - High Resolution

Fashion design major Cat Mitchell has a closet full of gorgeous clothes – and not a single thing fits. After two years of runway modeling for easy cash, an accident shattered her lower leg bone and her self-esteem in just one swift fall. Ten months of no exercise, prescription steroids, comfort eating and yoga pants meant returning to campus as a size twelve instead of her former size two. When her gorgeous long-time friend with benefits sees her for the first time after her accident and snubs her in front of all her friends, Cat’s self-image hits rock bottom. Her sorority sisters all insist that she looks gorgeous, but all Cat sees is the roll of her stomach when she sits down, or the dimpling at the back of her thighs that wasn’t there last year. Cat’s therapist prescribes something radical to stop the downward spiral – nude modeling for a nearby college’s human form drawing classes. When Cat faces her fears and bares it all for the class, she realizes that she’s posing naked in front the most gorgeous, buffest guy she’s ever seen in her life. He asks her out after the class, and after one steamy night together, Cat’s absolutely smitten.

Nate’s pretty close to perfect – he takes Cat rock climbing when he discovers that it makes her feel strong and becomes a great chef after he learns that the perfect pesto sauce makes her swoon. Cat starts to feel like her old self again – confident and beautiful – as long as Nate’s around. Even when he discourages her from entering the Real Woman Project, a design competition for plus-sized apparel, she reasons that he’s just trying to prevent old body image wounds from splitting wide open again. But when Cat goes home with Nate for Thanksgiving, she discovers something shocking from his recent past that proves that he hasn’t always been so encouraging of women of all shapes and sizes. Cat has no idea what to think, but she does know one thing – this might destroy their relationship before it’s even had a chance to get off the ground.

Before Cat can figure out whether the real Nate is the sensitive, adoring guy she fell in love with, or an undercover asshole, she’ll have to finally feel comfortable in her own skin – even if it means leaving him forever.

You can find it here on Amazon and here on B&N.  I’m adding it to my TBR pile right now– it looks amazing.

Author Bio:

Alessandra Thomas is a New Adult writer who swears she was in her twenties yesterday. Since she’s not, she spends her time looking back on her college years fondly, and writing sexy stories about guys and
girls falling in love and really living life for the first time. When she’s not writing, you can find her with a spoonful of ice cream in one hand and the newest New Adult release in the other.

And… Alessandra was so kind as to do a guest post for me today!  Woohoo!  She’s here to talk about New Adult fiction- and what the fuss is all about.  :)

NA – What’s all the Fuss about?

By Alessandra Thomas

When I heard that Courtney wanted me to answer “New Adult – What’s All the Fuss About?”  I realized just how strange it is that publishing/readers didn’t realize just how awesome this genre is a long time ago.  There are so many uniquely awesome things about New Adult characters and plots.

There’s a different kind of responsibility

New Adult characters usually have a greater sense of perspective than those in YA, but more innocence than adults. A lot of times, they have to make adult decisions, but they feel like kids, which is relatable to many of us. Much of the teen drama and angst of high school is gone, but at the same time, the societal expectations of “being a grownup” aren’t in fully force for characters aged 18-24.

College is the first time people are figuring out who they are outside of contained peer pressure. It’s just plain fascinating to watch what characters are going to do when they’re virtually free of social pressures and constraints of their hometown. They could literally turn into anyone.

In some ways, the stakes are higher. No one’s there to automatically catch you when you fall, and the point is to learn to navigate life on your own – and everyone’s learning.

There’s a different kind of freedom

If the characters have sex, the author doesn’t have to close the door in the reader’s face. There’s been a lot of discussion about whether New Adult is “just” sexed-up YA. That’s certainly not all it is, but it is kind of nice that if it feels natural or fitting for characters to be doing the Deed, we don’t have to shut the door or gloss over the details because the target audience are minors.

If you’re talking New Adult romance, the subgenre I write, a Happily Ever After ending  doesn’t have to consist of marriage or moving in together. The commitment can be less intense because people usually don’t move in with or get married to their college boyfriends or girlfriends.

…And then there’s total freedom.

If your NA protagonists are in college, they don’t have to answer to anyone but themselves on a day to day basis. If they live away from home, there are no parents to answer to, no curfews to obey. Usually, there are no children to take care of. The most responsibility someone aged 18-24 has is usually a roommate or a pet.

For readers, it’s an age group sweet spot.

A lot of adults love YA because it makes them feel younger and nostalgic for a time when emotions were so raw and things were perhaps simpler, yet the possibilities of what a character could do with her life were basically endless. But those same adults may feel creepy reading about high school relationships – specifically, swooning over minor “book boyfriends.” After all, the love interests in YA are usually sixteen and seventeen-year-old boys.  And, to be honest, adults often don’t like to admit that their favorite books are children’s, especially when they’re trading book recs with snobbier peer friends.  Teens are often curious to read about what their lives and relationships might be like in the next phase of life, and for new-adult aged readers, reading about their peers feels just right.

I guess what I’m saying is that New Adult represents a whole range of human experience – being in that in-between of after high school but before 9-5 jobs and families – that readers are hungry to visit or revisit. I’m so glad that I’m one of the authors writing it, and that readers are loving the rise in the trend.

There you have it!   Thanks for being here today, Alessandra!

M. Leighton is in the house!

21 Jan

Okay.  So if you follow my blog, you know that M. Leighton is my BFF and I love, love, LOVE her.  But aside from my personal feelings, I can tell you that she is a fabulous, amazing author.  AND, I realized the other day that I don’t think I’ve ever interviewed her for my blog.  What the heck?  So, she’s gracious enough to be here today so that I can probe her genius brain.

Me:  M, I think it’s safe to say that you are best known for your Bad Boys series (Down to You and Up to Me) and The Wild Ones.  Do you have a favorite?  Do any of your books hold a special place in your heart for a particular reason?  (I personally still love your Blood Like Poison series.  Oh, Bo.  *sighs*)

M:  hehe I love me some Bo, too!!  Actually, I love all my leading men.  To me, they’re all yummy in their own way.  Cash and Nash are certainly no exception.  Whew!  *fans self*  But if we’re strictly talking ones that hold a special place, I think I’d have to say Hardy from Fragile.  For some reason, he really got his claws into my heart.  Then again, they all do at some point or another.  LOL  That’s one of the best things about this job, a job which is also known as THE BEST JOB EVER!

Me:  My husband is an identical twin.  So when you first told me your idea for The Bad Boys series, I was super-excited.  And you pulled it off in a big, big way.  What gave you the idea for that story?

M:  It came to me as I was actually writing the brothers.  I thought how cool it would be if Olivia’s dream man was split into two physically identical people.  And then…not.

Me:  What is your idea of the perfect day?

M:  A morning spent spilling out tons of wonderful words onto “paper” followed by lunch and shopping, then topping it off with a calming drink, a great dinner, a decadent dessert and a movie with my hubby.  Sprinkle in some family and friends and I think it just doesn’t get much better than that.  Unless it’s summer and there’s a grill and the beach involved.  But that’s a whole other perfect day;)

Me:  Here’s the setting:  You and I wake up in a Las Vegas jail (Hey, we’re going there in August.  It could happen).  How did we get there?

M: It all started with JoJo the stripper and his pet ostrich named Flamingo.  Evidently speeding tickets are not reserved to modes of transportation that possess wheels AND it’s strictly forbidden to race ostriches in downtown Vegas.  Who knew?

Me:  Tell us a fun fact that people don’t know about you.

M:  I couldn’t remember the name of a pecan until I was, like, six or seven. I called them “bald nuts.”

Me:  Do you have a favorite mantra?

M:  Next book!  Next book!  It keeps me from resorting to drastic measures when the stress gets high.

Me:  I know that’s true… you tell me that all the time!  Lol.  Can you tell us what you’re working on now?

M: Actually, I’m writing the third book in The Bad Boys series.  And I am LOVING it so far!

Up to Me

Happily ever after doesn’t come easy.  But for love, it’s always worth the fight.

Olivia finds bliss unlike any she’s ever known in Cash’s arms.  He sets her skin on fire and melts her heart right inside her chest.  Unfortunately, their happily ever after is short-lived when a shadow from Cash’s past threatens to turn their world upside down.

Dangerous people from his father’s world have discovered that Cash holds information that could put them away for a very long time.  And they’re willing to do anything—and hurt anybody—to get it back.  Giving it up means Cash must choose between the life of his father and the life of Olivia.

Having nearly overcome her wariness of bad boys, Olivia’s trust is shaken when this new threat arises.  Now she finds that Cash is not only a danger to her heart, but his family has associations that are a danger to her life as well.  She soon discovers that there are some situations in life where trust is a girl’s only option.  And this is one of them.  If she’s to live, she must trust Cash with her life.  But to Olivia, that’s much, much easier than letting go and trusting him with her heart.

And an excerpt!

He squeezes me and presses his lips to my shoulder.  I can barely feel them through the lapel of my robe.

“Can I take this off you?” he breathes.  “I want to feel your skin against mine.”

A pang of desire zings through me at the thought of him holding my naked body against his.  It was only a few hours ago that we had sex for the fifth time today, but it feels like an eternity ago. So much has happened since then, so many emotions have come and gone, that it feels…different.

“Yes,” I whisper in response, answering him before my mind can talk me out of it.

I start to sit up, but Cash stops me.  He leans up on one elbow and pulls my hair away from my face and neck, bending to press his lips against the soft skin beneath my ear.

“Let me.”
