Bella’s Nook

Hey, I’m Bella and I love to read.   Once a week, my mom is going to let me review books here on her website and I’m super excited about it.

A little about me:  I could read before I started kindergarten a few years back.  I think that had a lot to do with having an author for a mom.   I’ve always got my nose stuck in a book, just like Belle on Beauty and The Beast.

I love Blue, animals, swimming and reading.  And Dolphins.  And I’m a really fast runner.

My fave books are the Twilight books (although mom won’t let me read a couple parts of Breaking Dawn) and The  Babysitter’s Club series.  Ooh- and I’m also my mom’s biggest fan, so I love her books the best. Really. She’s not making me say that.

My review guidelines:

I love to read anything- but I’m going to focus on Middle Grade novels, because that’s my age.

Also, my mom said I could use her iPad to read submissions on, so any file type that you want to send me will work.

If you are an author and want me to review your book, send an email to:  bellasreadingnook (at) yahoo.com

I look forward to hearing from you- I love getting email.  And I can’t wait to read your book!

Don’t get discouraged Bella – You are a brilliant young girl and will do a fantastic job reviewing books! Once you post your first review and others see what I already KNOW about you, you will get more requests! Mommy always calls you “Mini Me” and she is right – you are just like a smaller version of her!

Hi Bella! It’s so good to see kids like you with a love of books. I remember reading just about everything I could get my hands on when I was your age. (I still haven’t grown up though.) I read things like, the Boxcar Children and The Hobbit. I started reading The Hobbit at about age 8; it took me almost a year to finish it. I loved it even though it was difficult to read, at the time, it helped me to realize that I loved fantasy novels. I later read a book, by Orson Scott Card, called Enders Game; a science fiction novel about a young kid who goes to a place called Battle School on a space station. By this time I was about 12 years old, and this book immersed me into the world of science fiction. I was hooked. Now, I read almost anything fiction, and am writing my own story. I expect that if you continue reading that you will make it a permanent part of your life and maybe even tell your own story or two.

    Best wishes,
    Mike

    Bella,

Once upon a time your mother sat around writing up lovely pieces of poetry and story ideas; she was just as beautiful and talented as you are. Today, she has become an amazing writer, sharing her inner beauty with the rest of the world through her literary works. I am certain that she has passed some of that passion for writing onto you, and I look forward to reading your posts. One day, all of us will look back on these early moments, and talk about what you dreamed about–once upon a time.
