Dream Cast (and other extras) for Of Blood and Bone

So, you might know by now that my newest book, Of Blood and Bone (the first book in the Minaldi Legacy) is out.  Yay!  You can find it here on Amazon or here on Barnes and Noble.

Anyway.  I thought I’d share a few things with you today– things that have been taped to my storyboard or playing in the background while I wrote it.

I’ve already shared my vision of Luca Minaldi with you.   The Luca in my head is strikingly similar to this picture of Alexandre Verga:

Alexandre is a Brazilian model.   Is this not one of the most beautiful men you’ve ever seen?  Oh my word.  He’s perfect in this picture as Luca.

Next… my vision of Eva Talbot.   I had a hard time deciding who should be Eva and I had several different actresses taped to the storyboard for the longest time.  But.  I eventually decided that Amanda Righetti fits Eva best.

You’ve seen her as Van Pelt on TV’s The Mentalist.  She’s a little tom-boyish for the role of Eva, but I love her fresh-faced and innocent-ish personality…. it’s perfect for Eva.   Eva is a light in the world- and Amanda Righetti portrays that.

Adrian…..   Adrian was tougher.  But I eventually found a pic of Paul Walker.  You know Paul from The Fast and the Furious, and Takers.  I think Paul suits Adrian rather well.   What do you think?

In the book, Luca plays the piano.  One song in particular, one song that Eva can’t get out of her head, is I Giorni by Ludovico Einaudi.  I usually don’t listen to music while I write, but I listened to this while I wrote this book.  Here it is, if you’d like to hear it:

Of Blood and Bone takes place in Malta.  Here are some of the pictures of Malta that I had pasted onto my storyboard:

So, there you g0.  These are some of the things that were in my head when I wrote Of Blood and Bone.  They’ll continue to be in my head as I write the other two books in the trilogy.   If you’ve read Of Blood and Bone already, I hope you liked it.  If you haven’t, what are you waiting for?  :)

Have a great week, everyone!

  1. I just finished Of Bone and Blood and I loved it. It says to watch for Book Two in winter 2012. Ahem, 2012 is almost over. Any word on Book Two? I’m not as patient as I used to be. :-)
